	This inexpensive wooden take-apart has a stainless steel ferrule, a 5.5" spoon blade, and an oval shaft. A simple, sturdy paddle for casual beginners, or use as a back-up paddle. Average weight 42 oz.

Swift Touring Paddles

Swift Touring Paddles possess a radiant translucence in sunlight that is highly visible and exceptionally beautiful. Some of the lightest paddles on the market today, they are powerful but forgiving, with quick acceleration, a flutter free stroke and smooth follow through. The feathering angle is set at a comfortable degree to prevent wrist problems. New breakdown joints are snug, reinforced and trouble free with infinite feather adjustments. Graphite shafts are a standard feature. Available in Red, Blue and Amber.

Feather Lock Adjustable Ferrule System

The new Feather Lock Ferrule System allows precise feathering changes in 15 degree increments: 0, 45, 60, and 75 degrees – right and left sides.

The Feather Lock collar is low profile and its protected, external configuration makes for easy cleaning and reduces the possibility of jamming.

When closed there is NO play in the joint and no doubt about the angle you have chosen.

Changing degrees is simple:
Depress the button and slide joint apart.
Rotate shaft to desired position.
While still holding button down, push joint together to lock.

You will like the elegant simplicity. No knurled locking rings, no tools, no levers.

Swift Custom Paddles: Custom Fabric Blades are available for Swift paddles in any style. Choose your blade, length and fabric and your paddle is manufactured just for you. Each of these designs is a limited edition. Like Swift standard blades, the fabric inlays are translucent and are quite striking when the sun shines through them. Fabric adds 2 ounces to paddle weights listed above. $309

Selecting a Wood Paddle: When shopping for a wood paddle, know that paddle blades laminated with EPOXY and fiberglass are more durable than polyester resin laminates. Polyester tends to lift away and peel off from the edges of the blade, rather quickly. You can order any length of the following paddles. We stock standard lengths of 220, 230 and 240 centimeters (that's 86, 90.5 and 94 inches). Average weights are estimates, and vary according to paddle length, construction, and density of woods used in the paddle.
